We are tickled pink and happy to say a darling baby GIRL is on the way!

On Friday, I called the doctors office to get a refill on my prenatal prescription and my friend Brittanie answered the phone... When I told her my reasons for calling, she asked me if I wanted to stop in and take a peek to see just what baby JAC is???? Ummmmm.... let me think..... Y-E-S!!!! I could not stand it anymore and her asking that came in the nick of time, because I was going crazy waiting for the 24th!!

So at 1:54pm on Friday the 7th of May we found out that our little miracle is a Girl!!! Miss Jaymeson Ansley Cucuzza will be joining our little crew in late October. She is a long baby already (so they tell us) and is always stretched out. They checked all her organs, and everything looks perfect and healthy and said they will do another run through of all of them at my 20 week appointment. Although it is early to find out the gender (little over 15 weeks)Dawn, our Ultrasound Tech, was very thorough and bet her paychecks that she is a girl! 99% sure ;)
Needless to say this made my (Soon To Be) Mother's Day!
Here are a few pictures of our visit and one of my belly progress :)

And it goes a little something Like this...

First comes LOVE...
Then Comes MARRIAGE...

Then Comes A.....
From Baby JAC

In a baby Carriage...(Soon!)

We are SO SO SO HAPPY to announce that a little one will be joining our little family October 28th, 2010 (4 days before my Birthday!)(or somewhere around then, all depending on when this little one decides to show up)!!! We found out about our little blessing 1 year later to the day of our miscarriage, February 19th. I simply take that as GOD turning a day that hurt so badly into a day that now will forever change our lives in an indescribable way! We have been bursting at the seams to be able to tell everyone, but felt it was necessary to wait until the second trimester which technically is next week, but we just HAD to share. In a few(4-6 at my Dr's office) short weeks we should be able to find out what our Baby JAC (we already have names for both a boy and a girl picked out, and the initials are JAC regardless ;) ) is and will be SURE to update and post pics as soon as we know!

We are officially boring....

OK OK OK, It has been well over a month (almost 2 :( ) since my last post and although I don't have too much to talk about, I HAVE to update this blog!
Life has been ohhh so calm over the past month but OHH so busy as well! Business is booming, can not complain at all about that, and Matt has started traveling A LOT!
I am not fond of him leaving for weeks at a time... but it is a price I will pay to keep the job I have :) I love more than anything to be able to work for Matthew and his Father, It is such a blessing. So if he has to travel to keep things going around here... so be it! KISS, KISS.. CYA IN A WEEK OR TWO BABY ;)

Matthew is Due to come home today (YAY) and then goes back out in about 4 weeks for another 2 weeks, But I get to go be with him for a week of that. Our Company is involved in this HUGE trade show/convention in Miami Beach and My father In Law thought it would be great for me to come... I was not too sure about it at first.... UMMMM YEAH RIGHT... Heck yeah, Miami here I come ;)
I'm really excited for some SERIOUS changes that will start taking place right around that Miami trip as well.. (UPDATES ON THIS TO FOLLOW)

Right after our business trip to Miami, My oldest and dearest friend from NY, her mother and sister are coming down and the 5 of us ( My Mom too) are going to Savannah for a girls weekend! I am super siked about this venture, it has been YEARS since I have been to the beautiful Savannah!
Not too much going on in the Cucuzza household...

So Sorry for  the delay in the updates, and there will many more to come in the very near future.

See even Sasha is bored.....

Celebrating my Favorite Guy and a Weekend Retreat in the Smokies

Matthew turned 27 on the 11th, and we had a small family get together at the house with some tasty finger foods and sweet treats no one could resist! Matthew was a super happy guy when he got a really awesome camera (that I am in love with), a remote control airplane, a bunch of wine bottles for his newest hobby, and some money to spend at a home brew shop to also help support his newest hobby. It was a quiet night and the PERFECT way to celebrate our FAVORITE guy's day and to let him know just how special he is to us all!
Matthew's 27th Birthday

Matthew's newest exploration I speak of above is the brewing of home made wine and beer. He started this hobby out of interest to see if he could do it, and is now so enthralled by it that it has taken over my once huge laundry room (which is not that bad, I'm hoping that while he is in there waiting for his "potions" to ferment that he will take up doing the laundry....????)(wishful thinking) we already have a BUNCH to share and plan to accordingly :)
Cucuzza Winery and Brewery in action

Matthew's Father informed him that his grandfather used to brew his own wine years and years ago and My family has been doing it for years, so we thought it would be fun to share with the family swap recipes and bring back some old memories for some.

Two days after Matthew's Birthday celebration, we got up SUPER DUPER early picked up the Butler's and headed up to the Smokey Mountains for a little weekend retreat. We arrived in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee by 9:30-10am (yes we left that early, Matt LOVES to get a head start on trips). First things First... A stop at the Christmas shop, where Christmas is not just one day, or one week, one month... Nope, Christmas is the WHOLE YEAR! (now that is EXCITING)(to me at least) Now, this may not have been exciting for everyone else but because of my enthusiasm to visit this store (really it was like an entire Village) everyone went along with it and had just as much fun as I did inside...

After lunch the other couple arrived, and we made our way to our GLORIOUS abode. This was not just any ordinary cabin.. ohhh no, this house was amazing!
The Cabin In PF, Tennessee

We hung out at the house for the remainder of the day and woke up early in the AM to hit the slopes. Tiara, Aaron and Dan skied and Christy, Matthew and myself tubed. I've been skiing before and enjoyed it but didnt care too much for the pain I was in the next couple of days so, I decided to do the tubing to keep from ruining my trip, and that turned out to be the best decision! It was a BLAST! I felt like a little kid sledding down a monterous hill. My eyes were tearing from the wind blowing in my face so fast and my smile was FROZEN to my face by the time I got to the bottom, It was great!!
A day at the Slopes

Saturday morning, us girls went for massages, lunch and a little (very little) retail therapy. We met up with the boys and ended the evening with go-carts and a Fabulous dinner at the Old Mill restaurant, where we were all so so so stuffed we should have been rolled out of there!
Sunday we got up early packed up and made our way home. We took the scenic route back and made a few stops on the way through Gatlinburg and took some pics of the beautiful scenery.
Great Scapes

We loved the area so much, we are already talking and planning our next getaway up there to enjoy several other things we were not able to get to this trip.

Out with the Old and In with the New!

Another year done and WHEW... what a year it was! Now heres to getting used to writing 2010 on my checks and anything else I have to put the date on :/ (it will be June before I get used to it, I am sure)
It baffles me as you get older how quickly the time passes. I remember thinking when I was little How L-O-N-G it was between Thanksgiving and Christmas and then again between Christmas and New Years, and now it is one GIANT whirl wind and POOF its all over!!
Matthew & I (Sasha pup too) enjoyed a nice quiet night together for New Years, neither one of us really enjoys getting out into the hustle and bustle of New Years. We camped out by the fire and watched the NYC ball drop and were asleep by 12:05! YAY! Now don't we sound like a giant ball of fun.....(yeah... you don't have to answer that...)
AS for our upcoming year, I am not sure of what is to come, but I am sure that we will be making the absolute BEST of what comes our way! And I of course have several ideas to keep us nice a busy through this new year :) Just kidding, there is really not much else we can do in our home... we are project MAXED out (is it possible??).
I hope everyones Holiday season was wonderful and We send a most sincere wishes for the New Year! May this one be a super blessed one for everyone! :)
Thank you for keeping up with us and visiting the blog from time to time. We hope you continue to do so this year and keep up to date with the goings on of our little life!
Happy 2010!!!

It is that time of year...What time you ask??? The MOST Wonderful time, of course!

SO with Thanksgiving behind us and Christmas rapidly approaching, as soon as we got home from eating Turkey with the family I began taking down all of my fallish decor and broke out all of my wintry, Christmas"y" WONDERS!
Thanks to our good friends, The Lane's, and Jennifer's (Lane) splurge 2 years ago the day after Christmas, we were given a GORGEOUS, 9ft prelit tree. The thing is MASSIVE! I love it and I have proudly placed it slap dab in the middle of our house for all to see (I am SURE Santa can see it from the North Pole)!
Matthew was not pleased with the placement of the tree, but after setting it up and carefully placing each and every glass ornament that I have collected over the last several years, it grew on him and he is quite pleased with the outcome :)

In addition to the Most wonderful time of the year... we have yet again embarked upon ANOTHER project! Yes, Yes, another project (Poor, poor Matthew! But YAY!!!!) This week out goes our carpet in our upstairs livingroom and in goes new flooring. While we have the carpet up we plan to drop in can lights for the kitchen (recessed lighting). I am super siked about this because currently our house does not have "adequate" lighting, so this will be a wonderful addition. I must add that I am NOT a slave driver, I swear! Honestly, the majority of these projects are thought up by Matthew, and once he mentions them to me he plants this seed into my brain and although it may have just been a "thought" for Matt, at that moment that he utters his thoughts, it becomes an instant "work-in-progress" :) and I think about it and talk about it until the day he turns his thoughts into a "project well done". Here are some pics start to finish.. the floor is complete as well upstairs, but my house is a little "untidy" at the moment and not worthy of a photo op! (sorry :) )

Lights, floor... Perfection!
I am so excited for the upcoming weeks, we have lots of plans. This Saturday I was a part of a wonderful event that our new church puts on, it is called "shop with a Hero" where underpriviledged children receive a gift card to Wal-Mart to shop with a local hero (police officers, firemen, etc.) for Chirstmas goods for themselves or their family and we help wrap and support them. This Wednesday the Floyd's will put on their annual Christmas Party which is always a wonderful time, and the ladies of the party wil exchange ornaments (love that!). Then on Saturday the Neikirk's will host their annual Christmas gathering, where we will do a little "white elephant" gift exchange. And THEN.... YEP, it's Christmas! I am so excited to mark mine & Matthew's 3rd  Married Christmas together and I look forward to many, many more!

With Lots of Love Merry, Merry Christmas,

Matthew, Jess & Sasha

And.. We Gobbled 'Til we Wobbled With Thanks!

Our Thanksgiving was wonderful, filled with lots of eating, laughing, RESTING, visiting and good ol' fashioned family time.

ThanksgivingBlog postpics
This year my parents spent Thanksgiving Day with my Nana, and my Aunt Susan in Florida, So we celebrated on the Saturday before with the both of them, Aunt Kim, Mercer, Zane and Camden, Jill and Papa.
Matthew and I celebrated Thanksgiving Day with a massive bunch at The Cucuzza's. This year the attendance for Thanksgiving was huge, it was the whole GA Cucuzza Fam, including Carolyn, David & Matt Duncan, (Katy's Parents and brother) Aunt Carol, Jillian and Francesca (foreign exchange student from Italy, she fit in VERY well) came from NY, Uncle Tom and Aunt Susan came from Cleveland, Jayne and Grandpa Lou came from The Lake of the Ozark, Leslie and Javi came from Arizona, and Uncle Joe, Michelle and Clayton surprised everyone from Pennsylvania.
I came down with the Swine Flu starting Saturday night, and then Tuesday after my symptoms worsened I was also diagnosed with pneumonia... it was horrible, horrible, horrible! My Doctors office was very aggressive with the treatment and I completely credit them to my feeling MUCH better by Thursday! Not without a nasty cough, and feeling a little weak, but feeling a million times better than the few days prior and able to join everyone for Turkey :).
It was a full house and it was a great time! I am so glad the Swine Flu released me from its wrath just in time to spend time with everyone.
