It is that time of year...What time you ask??? The MOST Wonderful time, of course!

SO with Thanksgiving behind us and Christmas rapidly approaching, as soon as we got home from eating Turkey with the family I began taking down all of my fallish decor and broke out all of my wintry, Christmas"y" WONDERS!
Thanks to our good friends, The Lane's, and Jennifer's (Lane) splurge 2 years ago the day after Christmas, we were given a GORGEOUS, 9ft prelit tree. The thing is MASSIVE! I love it and I have proudly placed it slap dab in the middle of our house for all to see (I am SURE Santa can see it from the North Pole)!
Matthew was not pleased with the placement of the tree, but after setting it up and carefully placing each and every glass ornament that I have collected over the last several years, it grew on him and he is quite pleased with the outcome :)

In addition to the Most wonderful time of the year... we have yet again embarked upon ANOTHER project! Yes, Yes, another project (Poor, poor Matthew! But YAY!!!!) This week out goes our carpet in our upstairs livingroom and in goes new flooring. While we have the carpet up we plan to drop in can lights for the kitchen (recessed lighting). I am super siked about this because currently our house does not have "adequate" lighting, so this will be a wonderful addition. I must add that I am NOT a slave driver, I swear! Honestly, the majority of these projects are thought up by Matthew, and once he mentions them to me he plants this seed into my brain and although it may have just been a "thought" for Matt, at that moment that he utters his thoughts, it becomes an instant "work-in-progress" :) and I think about it and talk about it until the day he turns his thoughts into a "project well done". Here are some pics start to finish.. the floor is complete as well upstairs, but my house is a little "untidy" at the moment and not worthy of a photo op! (sorry :) )

Lights, floor... Perfection!
I am so excited for the upcoming weeks, we have lots of plans. This Saturday I was a part of a wonderful event that our new church puts on, it is called "shop with a Hero" where underpriviledged children receive a gift card to Wal-Mart to shop with a local hero (police officers, firemen, etc.) for Chirstmas goods for themselves or their family and we help wrap and support them. This Wednesday the Floyd's will put on their annual Christmas Party which is always a wonderful time, and the ladies of the party wil exchange ornaments (love that!). Then on Saturday the Neikirk's will host their annual Christmas gathering, where we will do a little "white elephant" gift exchange. And THEN.... YEP, it's Christmas! I am so excited to mark mine & Matthew's 3rd  Married Christmas together and I look forward to many, many more!

With Lots of Love Merry, Merry Christmas,

And.. We Gobbled 'Til we Wobbled With Thanks!

Our Thanksgiving was wonderful, filled with lots of eating, laughing, RESTING, visiting and good ol' fashioned family time.

This year my parents spent Thanksgiving Day with my Nana, and my Aunt Susan in Florida, So we celebrated on the Saturday before with the both of them, Aunt Kim, Mercer, Zane and Camden, Jill and Papa.
Matthew and I celebrated Thanksgiving Day with a massive bunch at The Cucuzza's. This year the attendance for Thanksgiving was huge, it was the whole GA Cucuzza Fam, including Carolyn, David & Matt Duncan, (Katy's Parents and brother) Aunt Carol, Jillian and Francesca (foreign exchange student from Italy, she fit in VERY well) came from NY, Uncle Tom and Aunt Susan came from Cleveland, Jayne and Grandpa Lou came from The Lake of the Ozark, Leslie and Javi came from Arizona, and Uncle Joe, Michelle and Clayton surprised everyone from Pennsylvania.
I came down with the Swine Flu starting Saturday night, and then Tuesday after my symptoms worsened I was also diagnosed with pneumonia... it was horrible, horrible, horrible! My Doctors office was very aggressive with the treatment and I completely credit them to my feeling MUCH better by Thursday! Not without a nasty cough, and feeling a little weak, but feeling a million times better than the few days prior and able to join everyone for Turkey :).
It was a full house and it was a great time! I am so glad the Swine Flu released me from its wrath just in time to spend time with everyone.
